Jones, 69, Harveys Lake Justice of the Peace, died Monday morning on the way to General, Hospital in the Lake ambulance, after being stricken with a heart attack. Services are scheduled for this afternoon at 2 from the Nulton Funeral Home, with burial at Mt. Greenwood. Rev. George Pickett will officiate. \ A native of Edwardsville, son of the late Richard E. and Anna Jones, he served as Burgess of that com- munity for twelve years. He moved to the Lake in 1941, and six years ago , won the election for Justice. In the May primaries, he won the candidacy for a second term. For ‘thirty years he was employed at Luzerne County Court House. He was a past president of Harveys Lake Lions Club. He is survived by his widow, the former Forma Raskin; sisters: Mrs. Clarence Bartleson and Mrs. William Montoney, Kingston; and’ Mrs. Henry Jones, Wilkes-Barre. There are a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nettie Vosler Lies At Bloomingdale Mrs. Nettie Vosler, 69, resident of Bloomingdale for the past thirty- five years, died Saturday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Earl Jackson, = Hunlock Creek. = Rev. Information will be given to mem- bers about the newest institution to be owned and operated by the Seventh Day. Adventist denomina- tion. Kettering Hospital is a twelve million dollar, 304-bed building now under construction at Kettering, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. Tt is sched- uled for official opening late this year. Roger H. (Clausen, pastor of the local church, asks for support “of the hospital project by prayers, and suggests that attention be given to recruiting personnel to man the new hospital when it opens to the public. | During the church's ‘Missionary Service” immediately after the weekly Sabbath School program, a medical personnel resource survey | will be made in the congregation. Explanation of the project to de- termine the availability of skilled medical technuicians, will be made in a tape recorded message to the congregation by Neal C. Wilson of | Washington, D. C., chairman of the ! N Board of Trustees of the hospital and president of the Columbia Union Conference of Adventists. The big medical center is a me- morial to the late Charles F. Ketter- ing, General Motors Executive, on whose estate it is being built. Eugene W. Kettering, son of the famed inventor and auto executive said plans call for the first unit to be a 304-bed general hospital to be owned and operated by the Columbia Union Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The site is a 32-acre tract of land which Mr. Kettering has deeded to the hospital corporation. . The hos- pital will have extensive service, diagnostic, and therapeutic facilities. Nearly 2% years were spent in de- signing the building which has one floor below ground and four floors above ground. The hospital is being financed by | the Kettering interests, local and federal contributions, and funds ; from the hospital corporation. The $750,000 school of nursing building is being financed by the Adventist denomination. Catholic High School Seniors of the Back Mountain Area were honor- ed at a Baccalaureate Mass on Sun- day, May 26 at the Gate of Heaven Church. Rehearsal was conducted by Father Richard Frank. Rev. Michael Rafferty delivered an inspiring ser- mon to the graduates. Patricia Mas- talski was organist. Several graduates were among the first class to enter Gate of Heaven School on September 17, 1951, with Sister Regis Mary as their instructor and they were graduated in June 1959.
