At the W.LB.C. meeting Sun-
day, it was announced that
Jean Bonomo was winner of
the cash award given for the
recent 50-50 Club. Jean is
well-known at Crown Imperial
and bowls as substitute in Im-
perialettes League.
The 50-50 Club has been voted in
as a regular fund-raising campaign.
The proceeds will go toward costs
of next year’s State Tournament. Tc
make it succeed, all girls must par-
ticipate. PLEASE, take part when
you're asked. You might win next!

qualified in the first two rounds
of the Northeastern Singles
Tournament held at Stanton
Lanes and Crown Imperial
Lanes Sunday. The girls will

vs Shavertown
and Shavertown
squared off in a close ball-game to |
reopen the church league season
after a two week holiday. East
Dallas: won by 60-54 with a big
scoring effort in the 3rd period.
Shavertown came back strong in the
final quarter but the gap was just
too big to overcome. The first half
was anybody’s ball game with East
Dallas leading by 2 points at inter-
mission. East Dallas used a well
balanced scoring attack with 4
players hitting in the double figure
bracket led by Fred Lamoreaux’s 20
points. Fred had a perfect 8 for 8
from the free throw line.
For Shavertown Donnie Rome and
“Obie” Hontz led the way scoring
31 points between them. Stan Davis
and B, Oney played a good floor
game and chipped in with 15 points.

Huntsville vs Prince of Peace
In a low scoring contest, Prince
of Peace won a tight battle with
Huntsville 35 - 34. The game was
nip and ‘tuck throughout, no team
being able to move ahead with a
spurt. The game was tied several
times in the last quarter and in the |
final 45 seconds, Fosidal sank a}
jump shot to put the Huntsville club
40,. Casterline’s Station had 38.
Casterline’s took honors with 2473
total pins and single high of 912.
Evelyn Roberts posted highest series |-
of 597 and tied with Lila Lozo for
third high single of 214. Jean
Agnew and Lila Lozo tied for top
individual honors with 216 games.
Ginger Gosart had 570 series and
Bernie Pape, 555.

Joyce Bevan, hitting 220 led

The front-running Harveys Lake
continued on its winning ways and
defeated the ‘‘Saints” of St. Threse
75-52. Harveys Lake has yet to

the season progresses.
It was a team effort Saturday
night for the Harveys Lake club
with all players scoring. Zeke
Hinkle led the scoring with Bolton,
Crispell and Searfoss running right
behind him in double figures. St.
Therese put up a game fight with
D. Purvin an “Rip” Duboise scor-
ing 34 points between them, but
the overall scoring punch of the
Lake quintet was just too much.
Purvin score 13 points the last quar-
ter in a sparkling show for the
Saints.
George Searfoss’s club from the
Lake is looking stronger each game
it plays. They have good scoring
power, Hinkle in particular, strong
