Fractured Leg
Begins To Mend
Mrs. Elsie Wesley, who sustained
a fractured leg two weeks ago in a
fall, underwent surgery on August
20, and is showing improvement.
She is now able to sit up during
meal time. Visiting ' her Sunday
were her children, Mr. and Mrs.
Rex Cope, Allentown; Mr. and Mrs.
Orvil Wesley, Vestal, New York,
Mr. and Mrs. Al Burlingame, Ber-
wick, Mr. and Mrs. George Wesley
and family, Sweet Valley:
Del Lennon, driver for Hunting-
toz( Dairy, has returned home after
beltg a patient at: Wyoming Valley
Hospital.
Bess Klinetob, Sweet Valley, and
Mrs! Lillian Hildebrant, Dallas,
have returned from Nichols, N. Y.
where they spent a few days with
Mrs. Burton Lyons, widow of Rev.
Burton Lyons, former minister of
Maple Grove Methodist charge.
Mrs. Lyons, who has. many friends
in this area, will note her eighty-
fifth birthday, November 10. She
is in good health, maintaining her
own home.
Mrs. Louise Foss, who has been
ill, is improving. Cards and get well
messages sent to her were greatly
appreciated. She is now able to be

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Kyttle and
daughter, April Louise, Passaic, N.J.,
spent last weekend with the for-
mer’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
Kyttle, Pikes Creek.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Doerfler,
Jr. and son, Mark, Levittown, N. J.,
were Saturday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert L. Ray. Mr. Doerfler
was formerly stationed at Benton
Air Force Base. He is a 1962 gradu-
ate of the University of New
Mexico. The family recently moved
from Albuquerque to New Jersey
where he is with R.C.A.
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Witkoski, For-
rest Hills, recently attended the
pilgrimage of the Immaculate Heart
of Mary, Sybertsville. .
Mr. and Mrs. George Haines and
children, George, Jr., David, Joseph,
Karen and Paul were Sunday guests
of Mrs. Haines’ parents Mr. and
Mrs. Calvin Ryan, Riverside.
‘Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Long,
and children, Jan, Wanda, and
Miralee Beth, have returned after
spending a few days in the Adiron-
dacks.
Mildred Cooney, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Cooney, Pikes Creek,
is the guest of her brother-in-law
and sister, Airman third class and
Mrs. Larry Farr, Spring Lake, N. C.
Larry is stationed at Pope Airforce
Base.

spending six weeks with them, Rita

Mr. and Mrs. Ide spent four days
at Niagara Falls and the Thousand
Islands.

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Achinson and
children of Clarence, N. Y., visited
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ide last week.

on Thursday night. Mrs. Emory
Hadsel presided in the absence of
Ruth Worthington the president.
