Dick Ide New York City, son of

the Thanksgiving Holiday with his
parents at their home at Hunts-
ville.
(A large flock of geese flew over
Chase Manor Sunday and several
deer were cavorting in the nearby
fields in broad daylight.
No action has been taken by the
State Highway Department to place
a white or yellow guide line on the
Larksville Mountain Road. A line
is badly needed due to the winding
road and heavy fogs which some-
times blanket it. The Huntsville
Reservoir Road should also be mark-
ed for the same reason. Governor
Lawrence has consistently stressed
Highway Safety and I would sug-
gest that our readers drop him a
line.
Corp. Kenneth Kocher, Fort Bel-
voir, Va., is the guest of his sister
and brother-in-law,, Mr. and Mrs.
Percy Wagner, Follies Road.
It is reported that a doe deer
was killed by a station wagon on
the Ceasetown Road, last Saturday
and also that a five-point buck deer
was illegally shot in that region.
Jane Warfield, has been appoint-
ed Art Teacher at Lake-Lehman
School starting next September. Miss
Warfield will graduate from Kutz-
anniversary Saturday. They had
no formal celebration due to the
recent death of Mrs. Lincoln’s
mother, Mrs. Edythe Swan, of Ide-
town, but the following people
called on them: Mr. and Mrs. Ches-
ter Rusiloski, Mr. and Mrs, Charles
Headman and son, Charles, Jr., Mr.
and Mrs. Richard Lincoln and
daughter, Kim Susa.
Sympathy of the community is
extended to the Barnes and Spon-
seller families on the tragic death
of Mrs. Sponseller Barnes, her son,
James Barnes, and the serious in-
juries of her husband, Charles
Barnes.
State Highway Department has
completed painting yellow guide
lines on the Larksville Mountain
Road from Chase Corners to Lake
Silkworth Road. The Chase-Hunts-
ville Road remains to be completed.
Mr. and Mrs. Alden Wagner had
as Thanksgiving guests, their daugh-
ter and husband, Rev. and Mrs. Bill
Sparkman and Walter Rancke of
Jersey City, N. J. where Rev.
Sparkman is pastor of the Abbott

fined with a severe attack of bron-

ham, returned to Madeira School,
Greenway, Virginia, on Sunday.
William L. Conyngham attended
a meeting of Pennsylvania Holstein
Association at Washington, Pa.,
from Sunday to Wednesday of last

Mr. and Mrs. William L. Conyng-
ham had as weekend guest, E. B. C.
Thoraton of Hampshire, England.
Mr. Thornton is a teacher at Law-
renceville School, Lawrenceville, N.
J. Mr. Conyngham became ac-
quainted with Mr. Thornton while
stationed as a U. |S. Navy man on
board a British battleship in 1945,
after the British fleet had moved
to Pacific waters following the fall
of Hitler. This was the first time
they had met after parting com-
pany after the war. It was a grand
reunion for both men.

surprised at a house warming at
their home in Fernbrook Saturday
night when the following unexpect-

The school bus shelter station
along upper Chase Road was over-
turned by Hallowe'en pranksters
and has remained that way. Parents
of school children in this area are
wondering when the school direc-
tors are going to have this shelter
restored to its rightful position so
their
purpose for which it was erected.
