Mr. Meeker was a native of Lehman .
Township, son of the later William
J. and Myra Shaver Meeker. The
family homestead was ‘the .ohe ‘on
water company property that stood
empty for so many years, before it
was "burned, presumably by arson-
ists, and later razed to the ground,
leaving only the beautiful hardy
hydrangea bush to mark the spot.
Meeker was named for the family.
Twenty-six years ago he moved
from Meeker to Hunlock Creek,
where he belonged to the Muhlen-
burg Church. He was employed by
the General Machine Company in
Berwick. \
While living at Meeker, he work-
ed for the John Hildeébrant family
on the farm now owned by Gov-
ernor John Fine,
Surviving are his wife, the for-
mer Bertha Padolski; a daughter,
Marilyn of New York City; sons
William, at ‘home, and Glenn of
Baltimore, Md., a grandson, James;
sisters, Mrs. Ruth King, Dallas; Mrs.
Mildred Wright, Chase, and Mrs.
Jennie Steltz, Pikes Creek.

He was a native of Hunlock
Creek, son of the late Josiah and
Katy Deremer Dodson. By trade he
was a carpenter. He belonged to
i Hunlock Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his sister, he is
survived by his widow, the former
Bertha Harry; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd
Sutton and Frank Jackson, Hun-
lock Creek. :
