Meeker was named for the family. Twenty-six years ago he moved from Meeker to Hunlock Creek, where he belonged to the Muhlen- burg Church. He was employed by the General Machine Company in Berwick. \ While living at Meeker, he work- ed for the John Hildeébrant family on the farm now owned by Gov- ernor John Fine, Surviving are his wife, the for- mer Bertha Padolski; a daughter, Marilyn of New York City; sons William, at ‘home, and Glenn of Baltimore, Md., a grandson, James; sisters, Mrs. Ruth King, Dallas; Mrs. Mildred Wright, Chase, and Mrs. Jennie Steltz, Pikes Creek.
