That is to say, why do so many of us fail to develop and use our talents and abilities to aid in making this a happier world for our- selves and those about us? Why do we not use our capabilities for good, to the end that those who will follow us may know a better world that we have known? Perhaps the answer is fear. Fear, imaginary or real, appears in many forms to handicap us. Our resentments and hates are but forms of emotion that bring harm, more often than not, to no one but ourselves. How may we conquer, control and overcome our fears and emotions, thus enabling us to bring our light out from under the bushel ? The answer is faith. With the aid of God, and a well established faith, negative effects are overcome. We can create a strong faith and companionship with God by attending church and drawing upon it for help. Like all our capabilities, the more they are used the more we can draw upon them, Fear cannot prevail against faith in God and in His Church. SSS SRR ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN Rev. Frederic H.
