CALL ENTERPRISE 2-0565 All ORchard numbers Seeking Gifts For Boys At St. Michael's In a holiday projeet conducted for the second year, the Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company is soliciting the general public for Christmas gifts for Saint Michael's School for Boys to be delivered to the school in time for the boys’ Christmas celebration. At its two main offices, 41 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, and 135 Jef- | ferson Avenue, Scranton, the utility is displaying traditionally-decorated Christmas trees in honor of the school located at Hoban Heights, Wyoming County. Last year, when the solicitation was initiated, gifts and donations |; were collected and presented to Monsignor Francis A. Schmidt, in charge of Saint Michael's, by the utility as a Yuletide expression of ‘generosity by individuals of the area. Again the public is invited to visit either of the locations and place a Christmas gift for one of the boys under the tree, or send a gift to be placed there. The principal gift sug- gestions are articles of clothing for boys between the ages of 12 and 15. Shirts, jackets, sweaters, trousers, shoes, personal grooming equip- ment, all have been suggested as most suitable gifts. It was announced gifts are preferred but if checks are donated, they should be made out to “‘St.' Michael's Christmas Fund.” Donation boxes are located at each office for the public's convenience. It was stated, this is a wonderful opportunity for the generous citizens of the area to participate in a heart- warming Christmas endeavor and share in the joy of the Christmas spirit and gift-giving.
