Larry graduated from Westmore- land High School a year ago and since that time has been in training as an air mechanic, but Fort Bragg, home of the 82nd Airberne, is near- by and Larry decided to become a Larry Farr Makes His Sixth Parachute Fall At Fort Bragg paratrooper during his spare time. Each successful jump increases his pay. His highest jump was from 12,000 feet and his worst one was his first. “Believe me I was really scared especially when the old hands played a trick on us new recruits.” It appears that the veterans jump from the first plane in forma- tion and as comic relief drop a dummy from the plane just before the recruits jump from a following plane. When Larry saw the dummy plummet to earth tangled in its shrouds, his heart was in his mouth.
