Mrs. Clark Ruch, noting the long icicles hanging from the eaves of her home in Shavertown, cracked them off with a long stick, whacked them up in a gunny sack, and used the nice clean ice for her ice cream freezer. Not having made | ice cream for years, but not want- ing to waste the plentiful crop of ice, she called around the neighbor- hood to find a recipe. Vern Pritchard obliged. There was still some ice left over after the first six quarts of vanilla ice cream were polished off. Mrs. Ruch got around that by grinding up six more quarts of ice-cream, this time made with frozen strawberries from the summer pack. Car Covered By Drifts Completely Blocks Road Drifts were so high on Greene Road in Kingston Township after last week’s storm that they com- pletely covered a stalled and abaa- doned Dodge Coupe. The car was discovered “ihn Herman Coon, operating his bull- dozer for the Township Supervisors came upon an immovable drift in the middle of the highway. The drift turned out to be the Stritzinger car... Another tractor had to be called to pull it out before Mr. Coon could continue plowing the road. the : DALLAS, PENNSYLVANIA FOE BRR SR RCS CREE TR BWA IE PIRIRFIRLL PRE ens It's too bad that the chap wh} writes the bank ads doesn’t also make the loans. ¢ Introducing . . .
