D., have announced the birth of a baby girl at Nesbitt Lawrence Hart Mr. and Mrs. William.Hart, Roch- ester, N. Y. announce the birth of a baby boy, Lawrence, Wednesday, September 4. They have another little boy, William, aged one. Mrs. Hart is the former Virginia Dykes of Rochester. Mr. Hart is son of Mrs. Helen Hart, former Dallas residents. Richard H. Garbutt Mr. and Mrs. Howard Garbutt, Hilton, N. Y. announce the birth of a baby boy, Richard Howard, on August 13. This is their first child. Mrs. Garbutt is the former Jean Forbes of Rochester, N. Y. Mr. Gar- butt is son of Mr. and Mrs. John Garbutt, Center Hill Road, Dallas. He is employed by the Eastman Kodak Company. Albeck, Hillcrest Drive, New Goss Manor, have welcomed into their home a new baby boy, John O. Albeck 3rd. This is their only child. J. and Mr. and Mrs. William Par- sons in Middlesex, N. J. While in the metropolitan area, Mr. and Mrs. Parsons spent a little time in New York, and saw the United Nations Building. George Shepherd, Goss Manor, with his daughter Martha Young, has returned from a vacation spent in fishing near Meshoppen. John F. Sheehan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sheehan, Huntsville Road, is a member of the Freshman Class at Pennsylvania State Uni- versity. Mr. and Mrs. John Reedy who have been spending the summer at the Wyckoff house, [Center Hill Road, Dallas, moved into their city home, Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, on Monday. Mrs. W. B. Risley has returned to her home on Lehman Avenue, Dallas, after spending a week as guest of her daughter, Mrs. Clar- ence Boston at Swarthmore. While there she attended the wedding of her grandniece at Cranford, N. J. Carl Hedden, Machell Avenue, re- sumed his studies as a member of the Junior Class at ‘Cornell Uni- versity yesterday. Mrs. Helen Hart, formerly of Dal- lds, now of Rochester, N. Y., expects to fly home from Europe this month. She has been guest of her sister and brother-in-law there for the past several months. Dianne Lynne Caruthers Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Caruthers, Parrish Street, Dallas, have an- nounced the birth of a seven pound, eight ounce baby girl, Dianne Lynne, at Nesbitt Hospital on September 8. The Caruthers have two ° other daughters, Debby, aged seven, and Jill, five, both of whom were born in England. Mrs. Caruthers is the former Dorothy Caruthers of England. Mr. Caruthers, also a native of England, came to this country during World War 2 to train as a pilot. He is now associated with Commonwealth Telephone Company as an engineer. Jeff Thomas Prutzman Mr. and Mrs. Charles Prutzman, Maple Avenue, Trucksville, an- nounce the birth of a son, Jeff Thomas, at Nesbitt Hospital Tues- day, September 10. The Prutzmans have two other sons, Ronald, aged nine and Richard, seven. Mrs. Prutzman is the former Mild- red Rejeski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rejeski of Trucksville. Mr. Prtuzman is son of Mr. and Mrs. William Prtuzman of Trucksville. Denise Mae Whitesell Mr. and Mrs. Grant Whitesell, Hunlock Creek, announce the birth of a baby girl, Denise Mae, at Nes- bitt Hospital on September 12. The Whitesells have two boys, David and Dean. Louise Ann Conden Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Conden, Har- veys Lake, announce. the birth of a daughter, Louise Ann, 8 pounds, 11 ounces, at General Hospital, Sep- tember 17th. The Condens have three other children, Charles, 14; Jay, 4%; and Jennie Lee, 18. Mr. and Mrs. Orrison Kocher, Rug- gles, celebrated their golden wed- ding anniversary last Wednesday with open house for their friends and neighbors. Mrs. Kocher is the former Myrtle Kocher, daughter of the late Louise Major Kocher and Louis Kocher of Ruggles. Mr. Kocher is son of the late Nora Hunsinger Kocher and Marshall Kocher, also of Ruggles. The couple was married by the late Rev. L. C. Murdock, district super- intendent of the Wyoming Confer- ence, at the parsonage located where the Hoyt Library now stands and went to housekeeping at Rug- gles where Mr. Kocher was em- ployed by the Shonk and Renard families and the Smith Lumber Company. He later retired to cul- tivate the farm where he now lives. There were no children. Mrs. Kocher is a member of Ruggles Methodist Church and the Rebecca Lodge. Mr. Kocher is mem- ber and a former teacher at the Reformation Lutheran Church at Harveys Lake. He also belongs to the Odd Fellows and the Meeker Grange, and still performs his duties as sexton of the Kocher cemetery. The Kochers thoroughly enjoyd their party last Wednesday and had Mr. and Mrs. Orrison Kocher Celebrate 50th Anniversary fun visiting with relatives and friends whom they hadn’t seen for years. They wish to express their appreciation to all those who helped with the open house, who brought such lovely gifts and sent greeting cards.
