Mrs. Margaret Laincz, Harveys Lake, left yesterday for New York City to meet her husband, a mer- chant seaman. He came in from Baton Rouge, La. Mrs. T. M. B. Hicks, who was a patient at General Hospital over the weekend, returned to her home on Pioneer Avenue on Monday. Mr. Hicks, New York City, is spending the week at home. Mrs. Clara Grose, Main Street, Dallas, has as weekend guests her daughters and husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wall, Lakewood, N. J. and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Renaldo of Jamestown, N. Y. Dr. and Mrs. Hayden Phillips have moved into their new red ranch type home on Demunds Road. Ever since they sold their home, Leighton Croft, Trucksville, the Phil- lipses have lived in the Dwight Fisher's home on Pioneer Avenue. Mrs. Norti Berti, Franklin Street, Dallas, was a patient the early part of the week at Mercy Hospital. She submitted to tests. Mr. and Mrs. William Deets, Har- veys Lake, had as weekend guests their daughter, Carol, student at Kutztown State Teachers’ College, and four classmates, Lois Jones, Emmy Battan, Claire Hunt and Carol Lee Bruton. Mary Jo Williams has returned to her home at Chase after spending the spring vacation in Denver, Col. She flew out. Mr. and Mrs. John Xuder and family, formerly of Kingston, have purchased and moved into a home on Hillside Avenue, Trucksville. Mr Kudar is salesman for the National Biscuit Company. Warren Cease, son of Mr. and Mrs Wilson Cease, East Dallas, who is working at Fort Pierce, spent the early part of the week visiting friends in the Back Mountain area. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morris, Huntsville, Alabama, arrived Satur- day night to spend some time with the former's sister, Mrs. Howard \Caperoon. Early Sunday morning, Charlie suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Mercy Hospital where he is still in critical condition. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Miller and family of Lambertville, and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Stoner, Trenton, N. J., spent the weekend visiting Mrs. Miller's and Mrs. Stoner’s par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Row- lands of Trucksville. Last year Miss Martin toured Ire- land, England and Scotland. The young women will arrive in Copenhagen Sunday morning at 9 and then fly to Bergen, Norway, where they will embark on a four- day coastal cruise. Back Mountain Troops will present America in various phases. The Brownies made costumes, headbands, belts, tom- toms and moccasins.
