Platt Bennett, Coolyn Hill, president of General Hospital Board of Directors since 1947, resigned on Monday, to be succeeded by F. E. Parkhurst, Kingston. ; Mr. Bennett, on asking to be re-! lieved of the presidency, consented to remain on the board, of which he has been a member since 1911. Stock Trout In Harveys Lake Fish Planted Through Holes Cut In The Ice Pennsylvania Fish Commission stocked 6,000 trout in Harveys Lake recently, working Monday and Sat- urday of last week, the first of.the spring restocking program in this area. Fishermen are getting good catch- es through holes in the ice, taking many wall-eyed pike and perch. A few smelt are also caught, but not in any great numbers. Smelt were stocked from Lake Erie five years ago, to serve as food fish for big lake trout, transported in aerated tanks. Smelt apparently make di- rectly for the depths at the middle of the lake, to the cold water pre- ferred by lake trout. Bass and sunfish are not biting well during the cold weather. Overbrook Gun Club Feeding Wild Game Overbrook Gun Club has embark- ed on a winter game feeding pro- gram which will include distribution of clover hay and corn on areas posted by the club. The club also ordered 1,500 spruce seedlings at its meeting Tuesday night from the State Department of Forests and Waters to be planted on barren lands under its protec- tion.
