- , » @ Ca Mrs. Vera C. Ashton, RN, Alder- son, was buried Thursday afternoon in Oaklawn Cemetery, following ser- vices conducted by Rev. Ruth L. Underwood at the Williams Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Charles Jones, Albert Ashton, William Kelly, William Beck, Robert Beck, and Mrs. Ashton; 60, passed away Monday : afternoon after several months of illness. Daughter of the late Philip C. and Margaret Yale Jones, she was born in Plymouth and attended Plymouth schools. She won her degree in nursing at Nes- bitt Memorial Hospital training school. - After several years of duty in New York City, Mrs. Ashton re- turned to Kingston, where she en- gaged in supervisory work at Nes- bitt Hospital after spending some time in private practice. Six years ago the family moved to Alderson. “Mrs. Ashton was a member of Alderson Methodist Church, its WSCS, Harveys Lake Womans Club, and Daniel” C. Roberts Fire Com- pany: Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Fuller Ashton; a son, Philip W. Urban, Hempstead, L. I.; brothers and sisters: Mrs. Harry Beck, Har- veys Lake; Mrs. Willard Gregory, Forty Fort; Sheldon L.
