FRIDAY, APRIL 22, 1955 Dallas-Franklin Operetta May 6 Grade School Plans For "Frog Prince” “The Frog Prince,” a dramatiza- tion of a well known fairy tale, will be presented in Dallas-Franklin auditorium May 6, at 8 p.m. Director of music is Alfred M. Camp; operetta selection, Hilda Bredbenner and Veronica Mills; Chorus selection, Freda Hughey and Alice Yaple; character selection Mary Mohr and Mary Emmanuel; program, Theresa Polachek; publici- ty, Dorothy Henney; costumes and dance routines, all Elementary teachers. Pupils taking character parts are: The King, David Williams, and The Queen, Karen Crispell, sixth grade. Gypsy Fortune Teller, Marie Snyder, Fourth grade. The Frog Prince, Thomas Landon, fifth grade. The Butler, Thomas Gauntlett, fourth grade. The Princess, Susan Dor- rance, fifth grade. Solo parts will be taken by Rose- mary Zekas, Russian Doll, second grade. Ann Marie Gobel, second grade, Japanese Doll. Ronnie Hess, fourth grade, French Doll. Judy Besteder, Fourth grade, Eskimo Doll. Peggy Ochs, fifth grade, English Doll. Karen Besteder, sixth grade, Italian Doll. Linda TRogalski and Shirley Johns, Dutch Dolls, Third grade. The cast will be supported by a chorus of dolls from each grade. Dorothy Race will be pianist. Bird Club Compares Notes On Spring Birds Mrs. Arnott Jones reported on Dr. Alfred Runk’s talk on Birdscaping at the Bird Club meeting Thursday night in the Library Annex. Twelve members compared notes on newcomers among spring birds, jealousy of cardinals in mating sea- son, the vanishing of the Pennsyl- vania State Ornithologist, and where best to observe broad-wing birds. Yellow-bellied sapsuckers, chip- ping sparrows, cedar waxwings, tow- hees and phoebes were among new spring arrivals. Twelve whistling swans were reported on Sylvan Lake, and several varieties of wild ducks at Huntsville Dam and Har- veys Lake, among them American golden-eye bufflehead, rose-breast- ed and American Merganser, teal, wood-ducks, pied-billed grebe, ear- ed grebe, and coot. Charts showing summer and winter birds were on view. Edwin Johnson presided. . Present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Prince Of Peace Women Give “Follow Through” A skit, “Follow Through”, de- signed to encourage participation in the semi-annual United Thank Of- fering was presented at the meeting of Woman’s Auxiliary of the Prince of Peace Church held at the parish house Tuesday evening. Taking part were Mrs. Ben Edwards, Mrs. Ralph Smith, Mrs. Calvin Hall and Mrs. Oswald Griffith. Business consisted of choosing Mrs. Alwen Mortenson and Mrs. Edward Meneeley as delegates to the meeting of Woman’s Auxiliaries at St. Luke's, Scranton, in May, Mrs. J.
