There will be a meeting Tuesday night at 8 at Shavertown Fire Hall for the election of officers and to plan for the season. All former directors, umpires, coaches, man- agers are urged to attend. A. League representative will also be elected to attend all meetings of the Board of Governors of the League when it meets in Wilkes- Barre. Mr. Kern attended a meeting of Teeners League officials last Friday night at Hotel Redington, Wilkes- Barre. It was announced there that twenty leagues are expected to be entered this year, and that it is hoped the Back Mountain area will be represented. Definite plans must be made be- fore April 1 if the Bi-County League is to be entered again. Mr. Kern is anxious to have others share the burden of League management with him and therefore asks anyone who is interested to get in touch with him by dialing 9-2731. Ildetown Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Keller were Alpha Smith of Richmond Hill, New York, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Keil and children, Ann and Roy of Lockport, New York. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Warren Smith of Yhehank, Long Island, were guests of the Kellers. William Williams and son, Russell of Honesdale, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rogers. Callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Spencer on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Masters, Billy Long, George Doble, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Montross. Mrs. Della Parrish and Bess Cooke entertained at a birthday dinner on Sunday honoring Martha Hadsel of Dallas, and Mrs. Ted Parrish of Kingston. Other guests were Mrs. © J. Newton Sykes of Williamsport spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Knepp. Herbert Ward spent Sunday with his mother, Mrs. Anne Ward of Philadelphia. L. E. Beisel is a patient in the Nesbitt Hospital. The Besiels daugh- ter, Mrs. Ezar Hopoulas and daugh- ter of Irvington, N. J., is with Mrs. Beisel while Mr. Beisel is in the hospital. Mrs. Elmer Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hoover and Patsy spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Alva Ide of Birdsboro, Pa. They also. visited Miss Phoebe Krewson of Philadelphia. Miss Krewson was ninety-two years old on Wednes- day. Alfred Weber of Harrisburg spent Friday with Mrs. Walter Smith, at- tended the wedding of his brother, Edmund Weber on Saturday night in Wilkes-Barre. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Davis en- tertained at supper on Sunday night Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Brown, Mrs. Walter Smith and Kathryn Smith.
