Remember the picture of the
squirrel sitting on top of Freddie
Gansel’s head in the November 28th
issue, Dallas Post?
Mus, Amanda Yiaple ‘telephoned on
Friday ‘to say that the pet of Claude
Street has developed an appetite for
peanuts, either indoors or outdoors,
and that he regularly scratches on
her door for admittance, The door
opened, the squirrel scampers in and
races up ‘and down the overstuffed
furniture, asking for a hand-out.
Mrs. Yaple has asked for copies
of ithe squirrel issue, so ‘that she
can send la picture of her pet to
her bridesmaid, Mrs. Kent Honey-
well, who is now 89, and a niece
of 83 whom she has mever seen,
but with whom she has been corres-
ponding ffior the past six years. Mrs.
Yaple herself will be 87 in May.

much noticed of the January dis-
play last year, the calendars are
already attracting a great deal of
attention. For folks in their early
fifties, there are calendar pictures

George Beretsky Lost
Both Legs Under Train
Military rites were conducted for
Paul Beretsky at Sacred Heart
Cemetery Tuesday morning by
Larksville Post 655, American Le-
gion. Requiem Mass at Gate of
Heaven was celebrated by Rev.
Francis Kane, following services
from the home of his parents in

Born and educated in Larksville,
he entered service in 1942.

plays a family of skeletons inspect-
ing the first tooth in a small skull,
Calendars hide the days and dates

Many of the calendars came from
the Lathrop attic when Miss Lath-
