Two Cars Total
Wreck At Lake
Nobody Injured
In Either Crash
Harveys Lake had two accidents
last week, neither of them involving
residents or Back Mountain people.
Both happened late at might, both
aparently the result of going too
fast over unfamiliar territory.
‘A car crossing the Lehigh Valley
tracks at the sharp S curve near the
picnic grounds turned over three
times Thursday night at 12. The
family of three, from New Jersey,
were uninjured. The car was a
total wreck.
Three boys from Forty Fort and
Kingston failed to make the U turn
at Herman Kern's place Friday night
at 1 AM. Their car plunged down
the embankment and was held from
being completely submerged by a
clump of willows. The boys were not
injured, but the car was wrecked,
according to Chief Edgar Hughes,
who answered both calls.
Hoover's Garage, Idetown, sent its
wrecker for both cars,
“@
Peninsula literally means ‘al-
most an island.”
