Charles “Bud” Carey, son of Mr. and Mrs, Leo Carey of Swoyersville, former residents of Cliffside, Trucksville, will arrive November 24 for a twenty-day fur- lough. Nineteen-year-old “Bud” return- ed from a six month Mediterranean cruise with the U. S. Marines and is now serving as guard aboard the “Salem” at Boston. Korean Veteran Home For Thanksgiving Pfc. Theodore Busch, son of Mrs. Arch Busch, Dallas, will be home for Thanksgiving, according to word received from Indiantown Gap. Busch landed in Seattle, home from Korea by way of Japan, two weeks ago. A veteran of World War II, seeing service with General Patton’s outfit in Europe, he was discharged in 1945. Recalled to active duty for the Korean campaign, he has been overseas since January, 1951.
