A-1-Hunters’ Club of Swoyerville,

ganized way the programs of the
State Game Commission. The pro-
posed corporation does not intend

Mrs. Louise Williams
Is Buried On Monday
Largely attended funeral ser-
vices were held Monday morning
from McLaughlin Funeral Home for
Mrs. Louise Williams, widow of the
late Fay Williams of Harvey's Lake.
Mrs. Williams died last Thursday
at Mercy Hospital where she had
been a patient for two months.
A registered nurse and veteran
of World War 1 she had taken an
active interest in infantile paraly-
sis ever since the death of her
husband, specializing in care of iron
lung patients at Scranton, Green-
ville, N.C. and Dayton, Ohio, where
there were epidemics.
A solemn high mass of requiem
was celebrated in St. Therese’s
Church, Shavertown. Rev. J. J. O’-
Leary was celebrant; Rev. Ed-
ward Haggerty, deacon, and Rev.
Thomas F. Corcoran, subdeacon.
Mrs. Robert Laux was organist and
a quartet from the Catholic Daugh-
ters of America sang.

Reject Truck Bid
Kingston Borough Council has re-
jected the $205. bid of Dr. Henry
M. Laing Fire Company for a used
ladder truck which has been re-
placed by more modern. equip-
ment. The Laing Company had
planned to use the truck as aux-
iilary equipment. It's bid was the
only one received.
