Mrs. Williams died last Thursday at Mercy Hospital where she had been a patient for two months. A registered nurse and veteran of World War 1 she had taken an active interest in infantile paraly- sis ever since the death of her husband, specializing in care of iron lung patients at Scranton, Green- ville, N.C. and Dayton, Ohio, where there were epidemics. A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. Rev. J. J. O’- Leary was celebrant; Rev. Ed- ward Haggerty, deacon, and Rev. Thomas F. Corcoran, subdeacon. Mrs. Robert Laux was organist and a quartet from the Catholic Daugh- ters of America sang.
