Sweet Valley Couple Observes
Its Sixty-Sixth Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lord of
Sweet Valley celebrated their sixty-
sixth wedding anniversary on
Thursday. Mr. Lord and his wife,
the former Ida Fiske of Sweet
Valley were married April 21, 1883,
at Beaumont by Rev. MacRoy. The
couple will also "celebrate their
birthdays next month. Mr, Lord
will be ninety-one and Mrs. Lord
will be eighty-four.
Mr. Lord who engaged in farm-
ing for many years, retired in
1934. Although he has been in ill
health recently. He is now
able to be up and around.
They hé&Ve seven children: Char-
les, Dallas R. D. 2; Harry, Dallas
R..D. 1; wwhlizabeth Morris,
Sweet Valley; James, Huntsville;
Mrs. George Kreller, Plymouth;
Dana, Sweet Valley; Mrs. Perry
Hoover, Dallas R. D. 2. They have
twenty grandchildren and twenty
three great grand children.
Laing Auxiliary Meets
At Albert Parrish Home
Ladies Auxiliary of Dr. Laing
Fire Company met Tuesday evening
at the home of Mrs. Albert Par-
rish, Main Street, Dallas. Two hun-
dred dollars was donated toward
the cost of a resuscitator pur-
chased, recently.
Committee for the next meeting

Mrs, Budd Schooley, and Mrs.

George Jacobs, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. George Jacobs of Pioneer
avenue, celebrated his sixth birth-
day anniversary on Saturday with
