“Back Mountain Protective Asso-
ciation.” The purpose or purposes
of the proposed incorporation are:
To protect, maintain and defend
the rights and property of citizens
and residents of that region of Luz-
erne County, known as the Back
Mountain area; and to do all things
necessary and proper to fulfill the
aims and objects of this corpora-
tion which are permitted by law.

Made in September
An estimated $1300, collected in
error from consumers: served by
the Dallas and Shavertown Water
Companies, is being refunded.
The money, representing a rate
increase authorized by the Public
Utilities Commission to be put into
effect October 1st, was collected
erroneously from the consumers for
the quarter ending September 30.
The refunds amount to about
$1.50 for each of the 550 consumers
of the Shavertown Water Com-
pany, and about 75 cents for each
of the Dallas Water Company’s 600
consumers, ;

Legion Gives Dungey
A Life Membership
In recognition of his continued
interest in the activities of Daddow-
Isaacs Post, American Legion, Art-
hur H. Dungey, finance officer for
the past fifteen years, has been
made a life member, of the Post.
Mr. Dungey was also one of six-
teen charter members ofthe Post
when organized in 1934. Today
it has a membership of 144.
During the first World War Art
was in the Medical Corps stationed
at Fort Meade and on Staten Is-
land.
He has been Dallas Borough Tax
Collector for the past 15 years.
