Russell W. Edmond- son, pastor. In the 45-minute movie, produced by Dr. Irwin A. Moon in Los Ange- les laboratories of Moody Institute of Science, scientific apparatus and diagrams are used to demonstrate the theory of atomic power. Actu- al on-the-spot film records of the Nagasaki and Bikini blasts show the atom bomb in action. The film concludes with the pres- entation of the world crisis caused by the discovery of atomic power, and offers a unique solution. Since its release last September, more than 75,000 people have seen the film in American schools and churches each month. An exclusive feature is a se- quence portraying the giant 184 inch cyclotron at the University of California. “There is no defense against an attack by an atomic weapon,” says Dr. Moon, narrator of the film. “Scientists have predicted that fewer than 10 per cent of those now living would escape such de- struction.” The only way to avoid such a possibliity, he ‘cooncludes, is a re- turn to belief in God as a dynamic for ethical living. Helping Dr. Moon in the narra- tion is ‘Larry Johnston, young phy- sicist, who aided in atomic develop- ment at Los Alamos and photo- graphed all three wartime bombs as they exploded. The public is cordially invited. D. Of A. To Hold Bazaar Mount Vale Council, 224, Daught- ers of America, will sponsor a card party, bazaar and supper on the afternoon and evening of Friday, May 28.
