NOTICE TO OUR READERS
Our telephone lines are busy.
Please do not take our time, or
yours, by telephoning long
items, box scores, weddings,
and other events that have ap-
peared in other newspapers.
It takes valuable time of
someone in our office to copy
down these facts and also ties
up our phones. If you have
such items that you may want
published in The Post, simply
tell us what paper it was in,
on what date and page, and
if we have the space we will
be glad to republish the item.
When we are crowded, we
do, however, give preference to
news that has not appeared in
other papers; and we are al-
ways glad to have new facts to
add to any story. But please
don’t take our time with a
verbatim recital of something
that has been published else-
where.

Sweet Valley Equipment
Proves Effective At Fire
Hi-Pressure Fog equipment of
Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Com-
pany performed yeoman service a
week ago Monday at a serious blaze
in Mocanaqua where two homes
were destroyed.
The Sweet Valley equipment, a
departure from the usual type of
rural fire fighting® equipment, was
found especially effective in the ab-
sence of a sufficient water supply.
¢ Three other companies at the scene,
recognizing this, used their equip-
ment to keep the Sweet Valley
pumper supplied with water.
