Montross and Perrin Families Hold Reunion at Perrin’s Marsh The forty-first annual reunion ef the Montross-Kitchen families was held at Perrin’s Marsh, July 27th. F Mrs. MacNeel was born and reared at Outlet. She moved to Ruggles fol- lowing her marriage and it was there that most of“her ten children, seven of whom survive her, were born. The family later made its home in Dallas and Jenkins Township. Mrs. MacNeel was a member of the Methodist Church. In her younger life she participated in the Ladies Aid. Her only hobby was gardening. Her husband, Grant, died twenty years ago. She is survived by the following children: - Mrs. Jennie Mow- ery, Earl MacNeel and Mrs. John Brink, all of Hartford, Connecticut; Clyde and Melvin, North Hill, Penn- sylvania; Mrs. Raymond Miller, Cam- den, New Jersey; and Floyd, Doyles town. Two sisters, Mrs. Bert Miller, Shavertown; Mrs. Emma Grey, Kings- ton; thirty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren ‘also survive. Rev. James Payne, pastor of Dallas Free Methodist Church, officiated at the services at the Miller home and at Warden Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Mowery, Raymond Miller, Walter Tilley, John Brink and George and Richard MacNeel. Dwight Fisher took fourth place in the Conformation Hunter (Model) Class with Van Dyke. His Kant Delay led the Local Hunters Class. In this last, Easen Heffernan and World Pool were third. won the Road Hack Class. Second was Mrs. Richard Johns with Wood Witch, and Dick Ide took fourth with Little Sir Echo. The Ide horse was also second in the Pair Class, working with Lois Keifer's, Lucky Strike. Joan Anderson, riding Dimples, and Mrs. Johns on Wood Witch, were third in this class. Flicka, a pony owned by Rulison Evans, took third in Class 62, for Ponies. High View Rambler, belonging to Charles K. Dewees, took second place in two of the classes for local walking horses, the Stake and the Ladies’ Class. In the local five-gaited group, March Wind, owned by Nancy and Mike Wood, was second, while Colonel's Star, owned by Peter Malkemes, was third. Quite a few of the local winners were younger riders. Penny Ruggles and Fritzie were third in the class for children under ten, and came in fifth in Ponies under 12.2. Carolyn Goer- inger and Boots were third in this event, and Jean Malkemes took fourth with Pal.
