Hoover Word has been received by Mr. serving his country with the famous 29th Division Infantry, has arrived in Germany. Pvt. Hoover's division was one of the first to land in France on D-Day. He writes that he has been reading his recent letters from home in fox holes. Some time ago the Hoovers re- ceived word that Emmett had been slightly wounded in action, having sustained injuries to his hand. He was hospitalized for about a ¢#month but is now back in the front lines. Before going over seas October 1942, he trained at Fort Meade, N. J., Camp: Dilworth, N. C.,, Camp Blanding, Fla.,, and Camp Kilmer N. J. He recently received an award as expert infantryman. Pvt. Hoover is a graduate of Lake Township High School and before his enlistment, March 1942, was employed as a stonemason.
