Kochers Are Visited By Millard's Buddy Mr. and Mrs. Atlee Kocher, of Parrish street, had a pleasant sur- prise Sunday afternoon when Pfc. Albert D. Miller, of Scranton, red- haired, freckled-faced, Guadalcanal veteran, dropped in unexpectedly to give them the first news of their son, Millard, they had received since July. Pfc. Miller was Millard’s buddy at “boot camp” at Parris Island, and shared a foxhole with him during Guadalcanal. They were both released at the same time and sent to a rest camp, but were sep- arated two months ago when Pfc. Miller was sent home to recover from an attack of Malaria.
