The high twist yarns used in today’s rayon stockings give them a sheerer, duller appearance and improve resistance to snag- ging. While the special high strength rayon yarns, perfect for hosiery, which science has developed, are being used in the war effort and cannot be produced commercially until after the war, rayon stockings have defi- nitely been improved as far as conditions permit. If you have a thorough knowledge of your new rayon stockings, know how to handle them, how to wash them, care for them, select them, they’ 11 give you pleasure, good wear and satisfaction.’ A helpful leaflet, “The Selection and Care of Rayon Hosiery, ” containing all the facts you should know about rayon stockings you'll be wearing, may be obtained by sending a stamped, self- addressed envelope to Woman's Feature, Department of this paper, specifying leaflet No. 101.. lough with his family, ‘returned to Fort Knox on Thursday. Enjoys | {Community Party Report The regular meeting of the PTA of Lehman High School was held Monday evening, Dec. 14th at the school. Mrs. Charles Nuss, chair- man of the ways and means com- mittee, gave a report of the success of the Community Party which was held at the High School recently. The party was planned to entertain the entire community, and was cer- tainly found to be a delightful re- spite from the mental anguish of war. 5 People came in groups, thus sav- ing gas and tires. Entire families arrived to enjoy the many and var- ied means of entertainment. There were game rooms for children rang- There were Chinese checkers, check- ers, flinch, monopoly, etc., for the junior students. A juke box furn- ished music for the jitterbugs, as well as waltzes and fox trots for the youth of yesterday. There were square dances too with Mr. and Mrs. Giles Moore to furnish the music. Lunch was served to approximately 250 people This clearly shows the re- sponse of the people of the commun- ity to such an occasion, which was held mainly to draw them to a place where entertainment and commun- ity spirit holds sway. There have been many requests to | repeat this type of party and the | committe is seriously planning to | do so in the near future; ‘particular- hy after the holiday season, and we | are sure the response will be equal if not increased in the coming event. Fellowship Meeting The monthly Fellowship meeting of the Lehman Choir was held Fri- day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scott, Outlet road. The business meeting was held with Mr. Wm.
