Marshmallow Dream Candy 12 marshmallows, cut in quarters 1 pound sweet or dipping choco- late, melted. Y cup broken nut meats. Arrange marshmallows and nuts in greased pan; cover with melted chocolate. When cool cut in squares. Approximate yield: 16 pieces, Maple All-Bran Creams 1% cups maple syrup ¥2 cup cream / ¥4 teaspoon salt 1% cup bran ) Ya cup chopped nutmeats Place the maple syrup, cream and salt in a saucepan .and stir until Cover the pan for one minute so that steam will wash sug- ar crystals from side of pan. Cook slowly to 236° F. or until a soft ball forms when a little of the mix- ture is dropped in cold water. Pour on a cold wet platter and cool to lukewarm. Work the mixture with a spatula, folding it over and over until it begins to grow firm. Knead with the hands until smooth and creamy. Form into balls the size of a large hickory nut and roll in bran which ‘has been crushed and mixed with nutmeats. Yield: 18 candies (%-inch in diameter).
