The Old
Scrap Book
Howdy there:
The Bible says that it is not good
for man to be alone. Why? Because
there is something in us all that de-
mands attention, love, and considera-
tion. We crave sympathy. Man needs
something or somebody on which he
may bestow his affection, attention,
and money. It may be a boy, a girl, or
inanimate object which takes his time,
but the truth still remains that man
does not like to be alone. The Bible

ALONE
It must be awful to be alone,
With no one at all to call your
own;
No one with whom your love you
can share,
No one to sympathize, pity or care.
t must be awful to be alone.
Nowhere on earth to call your
home;
No friends or loved ones to bring
you delight,
No children to cheer and make
your way bright.
No loving arms to hold you so
tight,
When day is done and cometh. the
might;
No warm word of welcome to cheer
your sad heart.
No tender devotion or peace to im-
part.
No kiss of affection is placed on
your cheek,
No smile of attention, for which ©
you now seek;
No service of love for someone so
dear,
No song and no laughter, but only |
a tear.
Those who spend too much time a-
lone bewail their own state. When mo
one is around, we all feel sorry for
But to be alone with God
is to pour out trouble to Him, and hear

Our text for the week is in Eccles-
iastes 4:10. “Woe unto him that is a-
lone when he falleth; for he hath no
one to pick him up”.
A thought for the week: Better to
speak good of your friends in public
than to think evil of them in private.
Your for less loneliness,
Bob Sutton.
