Theodore Dix, who has been ill since
August of neuritis, is reported as very
much improved. He has been under-
going treatment at Philadelphia where
he is the guest of his sister, Mrs.
Leonard Ruber. Mrs. Dix and sons,
Bill and Don, will spend the week-end
visiting Mr. Dix and Mrs. Dix’s sister,
Mrs. George B. Smith. It is expected
that Mr. Dix will be able to return to
‘his home in Dallas for the Christmas
holidays.

The Dallas Junior Women’s Club
Glee Club presented to the public
Wednesday night in the M., E. Church
it’s first public concert. They were
assisted by Mamie Robertson Bare,
reader, and Jesse Williams, bass solo-
ist.
Although the weather was inclement
many braved ‘the rain and snow to
make a very appreciative audience.
The church was artistically decorat-
ed with palms, ferns, and baskets of
chrysanthemuns and pom poms. The
glee club sat in a semi circle with the
director, Mrs. Sara Sanford, standing
in the front. The entire organization
was dressed in black and white and
made a very affective appearance.

parlors on Tuesday evening at a cov-
ered dish supper in celebration of the :

The tables were decorated in keep-
ing with the Christmas season and
made a very pleasing and interesting

Dallas Junior Womens’ Club will
meet on Wiednesday night, Dec. 9, at
Suburban Inn. The affair is the an-
nual Christmas party and each mem-
ber is urged to bring a toy for a child
and also a ten cent gift for a membex.
Plans for the underprivileged childrén’s
party will be made and final arrange-
ments for the Christmas dance will be
