Bridge at Gallitzin Declared ‘Unsafe’ The old two-span Jackson St. bridge in Gallitzin, the one that crosses the mainline railroad tracks near the mouth of the Gallitzin tunnel, has been closad by the PUC as being “inadequate and unsafe.” The closing of the bridge re-! sulted from testimony given at a PUC hearing last week as action was taken by the Borough Coun- cil to have the Pennsylvania Rail- road Co. repair the structure.
