PATTON HIGH OPENS SEASON WITH 13 TO 7 WIN Patton High School opened its football season ‘under their new coach, Albert Mauro, by defeating the South Fork High eleven on the Patton field last Saturday after- roon by the score of 13 to 7. The Patton team showed some real offensive playing, especially in the first half with Pat Sheehan, Fullback, doing the majority of the ball-carrying. Patton scored in the first quar- ter, Pat Sheehan going over for the first score after an extensive drive down the field. In the second quarter the offense continued to click with Bill Young Halfback, scoring on a reverse play from the four-yard line. Coach Bud Lee's boys from South Fork stopped the Patton of- fensive in the third quarter, neith- er team scoring.
