Thursday, September 14th, 1939. PATTON Bick The Ushers’ Club of St. Mary's Cas tholic church will sponsor a tarewell dinner at the I. T. Strittmatter home near town, this Wednesday evening in honor of the Rev. Father Bertrand McFadyen, pastor, who was to be transferred to the Sacred Heart Church, Jeanette, Pa. Members of the parish presented Father Bertrand with a wrist watch. As we close our forms we learn that the Arch-abbott has can- celled the transfer order and Father Bertrand will remain with us. A birthday party was held Monday evening form 6:30 to 9:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Becker at St. Boniface in honor of their son, Paul's eleventh birthday anniversary. Games were played and lunch was served. Fourteen boys attended. The Patton Garden Club will give a flower show and tea in the social rooms of the Methodist church, Sat- urday, September 16th from 3 to 5 p m.
