Faithful Dog Led Neighbor to Dead Mas ter Mr. Anderson Supposed to have Been Dead a Day Before Found. J. I. Annerson, father of two of our townsmen, L. S and Norman W. An derson, who resided in Knox town, near Knoxdaln. was round dead beside a hoard pile near his barn on Tuesday evening of last week, August 6. Mr. Anderson was staying alone for a few days while bis wife was visiting a daughter, therefore It is not known when ho died, but it is supposed that he died on Monday. A neighbor saw him piling boards Monday and he was not seen alive after that, Tuesday evening a oouple of men stopped at Mr. Anderson s to buy a horse and did not find any one at house and they went out to barn and the dog that generally barked at strangers, did not bark but slowly walked ahead of one of the gen tlemen and led him to the board pile, where Mr. Anderson was lying on the ground dead. The funeral service was held Thursday and interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Knox- dale. Deceased was 74 year old. He is sur vived by his widow, four sons and five daughters, as follows: Norman W. and L. a. Anderson, of Reynoldsville, James Anderson, of DuBois. Cleveland Ander son, of Panlo, Mrs. Ed. N.
