Tho thirty-second annual summer outing of tho Pennsylvania Stato Edi torial Association was held at Williams port and Eugles More Juno 27-July 1. It was a pleasant outing and was very much enjoyed by the editors. By Tues day morning, Juno 2Hth, there were a large number of editors and their wives In Williamsport. Tho executive com mlttoo from Wllllomsport's llvo bonrd of trade and local press committee wore at headquarters of Association early Tuesday morning to welcome the edi tors as guests of Williamsport. Each member of tho Association was given a neat packago which contained a badge, a Hnely illustrated booklet of Williams port's beautiful homos, business houses and also a souvenir from (Mf, one of the largest nnd best equipped newspaper plants in Pennsylvania. At 0.30 a. m. Tuesday members of tho Association, In charge of tho committees, boarded tho trolley cars for a twenty mile ride to view the city. 'Tho citizens of Wil liamsport claim that their city Is "tho Ideal city for homo or business" and the editors who had tho pleasure of looking at tho handsome residences, with well kept lawns, and tho largo industries of tho city, will gracefully submit to Wll linmsport's claim. Tuesday afternoon a number of the editors enjoyed a carriage ride over tho fine drives surrounding Williamsport. Tuesdny evening a re ception and banquet by the board of trado was hold at the Park Hotel. Ex Mayor Williums presided. Mayor John F. Laodlcfn welcomed the editors to ilKamsport. Addison B. Wednesday the editorial party started for Eagles Mere In a special train over tho Philadelphia & Heading railroad. Tho special was run over tho Williamsport & North Branch to Sonesown, whore the party was transferred to a special train of ob servation cars on tho Williamsport It North Branch narrow gunge railroad to imiko tho trip up the mountains to Eagles Mere. A picturesque and de lightful trip. The Forest Inn, Edgar U. Keiss, manager, was headquarters for tho association at Eagles Mere. The mountain air is conducive of a good ap petite and tho Forest Inn tablet were well supplied with an abundance and Miriety of good things three times a day. Eugles Mere is a surpassingly beauti ful gem of nature Added to its com manding view of the surrounding coun try for a ruuius of fifty miles, is its beautiful lake of pure wator, fed entire ly by subterranean springs, a mile long and a half mil wide, nestled on the top of the Allegheny mountains at an eleva tion of 2,200 feet ubovo sea level. At tho Forest Inn side of tho lake is a while sand beach rivalling tho ocean at its best, where the smallest toddler in tho party and tho most accomplished simmer among tho pencil pushers wore in their element. Tho virgin forest which skirts tholako and extends for many miles on all sides, adds to the beauty of Eagles More. Boating, bath ing, swimming, mountain and forest rambles, tennis and basoball are among the rocroatlve features of this summer resort. Bo it ordained and enacted bv tho town council of tho Borough of West Ueynoldsville in council assembled and It is hereby ordained and enacted by tho authority of thosnmo : Tlint sect Ion six of Ordinance No. 3 relating to the adoption and regulation of streets, alleys, and side-walks, which now rends as follows : "That all plnnk walks on Main street from the creek on lino adjoining Reynoldsvlllo Borough, west to Broadway street shall bo six feet wldo, tbenco to Brown street, shall be five feet four inches In width, thence to west line of the Borough, four feet wldo ; and on Broudway street side- waixs snail oe live lect lour Inches in width, and on all other elreots shall bo four foot In width; the said side-walks to hava an inclii nlnn of ono-fourth of an Inch to tho loot towards tho street.
