Allen, of Boldler, and Miss May Wyse, diiughter of Mrs. II. B. Wyse, of this place, were united in marriage Wednesday, Deo. Kith, at the home of the bride by Rev. A. J. Meek, of Reyn oldsville. The young couple are well known here and have many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Allen will visit in Brad ford, Brockwayvllle and DuBols. They will make their home in Soldier. Mrs. Edward Campboll, of Coal G!.-n, who had been a long and patl nt sufferer with kidney trouble, died on Tuesday, December IB, 1003. She Is survived by two daughters and one sun. Mrs. Clen Smith, Eliza and Robert Campbell, and one brother and f mr sUters, Ezekicl Sterrett, Matilda Siur rett, Mrs. McCurdy Hunter, of Coal Glen, Mrs. Robert Hunter, Rockdale Mills, and Mrs. John Evans, who lives in the West. Funeral services were held in the Beech woods Presbyterian churchThurs- day afternoon, conducted by Roy. George H. Hill, pastor. Interment was made in the Beechwouds cemetery. Mrs. Campbell was a resident of Reynoldsville a number of years sgo, when her husband was engaged in the planing mill business at this place. The mill was located on corner of Main and First streets. It was destroyed by Are. Mr. Campbell died in the West a number of years ago. The Brockwayvllle Record in speak ing at her death says : "Mrs. Campbell was loved by all who were acquainted with her and she leaves a host of friends who mourn ber death. The de ceased was 64 years old and lived In Beech woods nearly all her life.". Suggestions for Sleighing Parties. A local hunter hunting Friday in the vicinity of Richardsvllle was struok with the scarcity of dogs In that locali ty. About a year ago a mad dog played havoo there biting five or six dogs. Not only the dogs affected, but a lot of other canines were shot. The same scarcity of dogs prevails at Corsica, whore a rabid canine not only bit dogs but also four or five people.
