Whereas, The citizens of tho said borough have by public subscription erected a public water fountain for the benefit of the public generally, for the use of both man and beast. Said foun tain wag erected by and with the con sent of the town council of said borough. And Whereas, Complaints hnvo been made to said council hy sonm of the citizens of said borough, that tho aide of the fountain made for men and women to obtain water at, has been used for watering beast, thereby pol luting the water nnd endangering the health and life of the citizens, that sticks, stone, gravel and other sub stances have been wantonly and reckless ly thrown into the fountain hy persons to Its injury and damage and the pollu tion of trio water. That vehicles have boon driven against said fountain wan tonly, carolossly and recklessly. Therefore bo it enacted by the town council of the borough of Reynoldsvlllo in council assembled, and it Is hereby ordained by authority o( the same: Soo. 1. That It shall bo Uhlaw'til for lny person Or persons to water or at tempt to water any kind of an animal "- or boat at that side of tho aforesaid fountain used asadrlnklng place for the people, being the smallest bowl there on, or to place or to put In Raid fountain any sticks, stones, gravel or other sub stances to the damage or Injury of said fountain or to the pollution of the water therein or coming therein or to wanton ly, carelessly or recklessly ride or drive any horse, horses, carriage, wagon or other vehicle against the same or wan tonly, carelessly or negligently do any other act or thing to the Injury, dam age or dofacemont of said fountain or the pollution of the water therein or coming therein. Sec. 2.
