Bond, of Brockwayvllle, who has figured conspicuously tn Jefferson county politics the past four or five years, passed through thia place on the cast bound, A. V. R'y, train Saturday main on his way home from a trip into Ohio. Mr. Bond had his right arm in a sling. While In the Ruckcye State he was leading a frisky horse and had the hitching strap wrapped around his light wrist. The animal became un manageable and broke a blood vessel In Mr. Bond's light arm. A thrombasis formed In tho arm, which Is as bad as a broken arm, If not worse. Mr. Bond waa In a hospital In Pittsburg a week or ton davs. Quiet Wedding. Walter C. Henry, of Hamilton, Pa., who taught school In this borough two terms, and Misa N. Monora Wheeler, daughter of David Wheeler, tho lumber dealer, will be married at the home of Mr. Wheeler at six o'clock this evening by Rev. Hubert Rex Johnson, pastor of tho Presbyterian church, in the presence of tho families of the contract ing parties. Tho young couple will leave on the 6..V1 train this evening for Atlantic City, where they will remain a fortnight. Mr. Henry and Mlas Wheeler are classed among the best young people of Reynoldsvillo. Where they will reside Is yet undecided. The STAR extends congratulations and wishes the young couple peace, happiness and prosperity aa they travel down life's pathway together. Killed in the Woods. George Moore, aged twenty-five years, son of Jacob Moore of Horro Settlement, was instantly killed Monday morning in the woods while at work on the Burtop track in Beech woods. George and several other men were working close together when he waa suddenly burled into eternity. A hemlock tree was cut down and when the tree fell the top of mapel tree, that is supposed was broken and leaning on the hemlock, quietly dropped down on the young man with fatal results. His head, shoulders and breast were badly orushed. The funeral services were held at the home of his parents at 10.00 a. M. yesterday and his remains were Interred in the Beechwoods cemetery. The young man was unmarried but expected to be married the Fourth of July, or a little later. Prof. Mitchell Elected. It was stated in The Star last week that the West Reynoldsvllle school board would elect a principal for tho schools of that borough on Friday night and that Profs. Postlcwait and Etsen bart were the applicants. The election was held over until Monday night and the applicants were Profs. Henry, Pon tic wait, Eisenhart and Mitchell. Prof. Lex. N. Mitchell was elected principal at a salary of $05.00 per month. A petition was circulated In West Reyn oldsvllle Friday, to which tho slgna tures of at least two-thirds of the voters were attached, asking the school board to increase the school tax sufficiently to be able to pay Prof. Mitchell salary of $75.00 a month and to hire htm as principal. The school board did not consider the request to Increase the school nilllage, and they could not have increased it even if they bad made the attempt. Promptly at eight o'clock the Miller Bids', orchestra, which waa stationed on ono corner of the porch, began playing a suit able march and the wedding party, composed of John Fuller, brother of the bride, and Vincent Reyn olds, Miss Angus Warnlck, bridesmaid, dressed In white, Dr. H. C. Diltz, of Llndsey, best man, Miss Fuller, dressed In a handsome cream ailk rrao dreaa, and Dr. Murray, mado their appearance on tho porch, where Rev. Hubert Rex Johnson, pastor of the Yesbyterian church, solemnized the nuptials. It was a pretty and Impres- alve scene In tho quiet eventide. After the con gratulatory excitement subsided, two largo rooms, tho porch and lawn were filled with small tables around which the guests assembled and partiaik of the good things from tho culinary de partment that had been prepared to tickle the palets of tho witnesses of tho matrimonial alliance. About 10.30 Dr. Murray and wife, Dr. Diltz and Misa Warnlck alarted to DuBois in a carriage, which was well bedecked unbeknown to tho bridal party for the occasion, even to a string of sleigh bells on tho horses. On Thurs day morning Doctor and wife left DuBois on a ten day wedding trip in Canada. When they return to Reyn oldsvllle they will room in tho Spraguo house and tako their meals at Hotel McConnell until their new homo on Main street, on which work will begin In a few weeks, la ready for occupancy. Dr. Mnrray Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Val. S. Murray, of Cask ill township, this county. He Is a graduate of the Medico Chlrurglcal College of Philadel phia. About one year ago ho located In Reynoldsvillo where ho has built up good practice and mado many warm friends. He ia not only a scholar but Is also a gentleman. Miss Mildred M. Fuller, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Fuller, was born on the farm where she was married. She is a graduate of the Clarion State Normal, has taught several very successful terms of school In this borough, and is a perfect lady in every sense of the word. She is held In high esteem In the community. Frank J. Black, J. C. Swartz, Miss Maggie Stoko and Miss Ella Soeloy were the ushers for the occasion and handled the large party very nicely. While the refreshments were being served the Reynoldsvllle Keystone band marched up in front of the illuminated mansion and discoursed some delightful music. Ray and Miss Muudo Milliren. both of Falls Creek. Rev. J. C. McEntire, of this place, delivered an address to the Knights of Pythias lodge at Putney ville, Armstrong county, one evening last week. Photographer G. J. Corwin went to Pittsburg Saturday and from there he went to Jamestown, N. Y., to attend the Photographer's Convention. Mrs. Dr. J. H. Kline and daughter, Mrs. Emma Smith, of Penfield, visited the former's brother, E. D. Radcbach, in West Reynoldsvllle last week. Mrs. Joseph T. Guthrie went to Pitts burg the latter part of last week to spend several days with hor sister, and from there she will go to New Garden, Ohio, and several other places In the "Buckeye State."
