Nobody appears to know anything, hoar anything, or to ho nblo to guess anything. All aro saying nothing and sawing wood. Tho Councilinen and Councilmon-olcct in both tho I'cpubllcan and Democratic parties aro holding their own counsel and evidently don't proposo to betray their intentions until they think tho tlmo arrives. This is por ploxing action for n period immediately pre ceding a re-organization of Council, but not without a precedent, and lu keeping with tho policies of both parties prior to tho lato clcctlou. A careful canvass shows that nothlug au thorltively can bo gleaned for publication concerning tho ro-organizatlon, (notwith standing an announcement mado to-day by a Fottsvlllo paper,) except that itwilltako place next Monday evening, at 7:30 o'clock, and that tho Councilmen don't proposo to run tho gauntlet as they did last year, 1. c. tho police force will be on duty to keep tho passago way open from tho street to tho Council Chamber and curious pcoplo will bo obliged to stand nsldo until tho Council men can reach their stations. This rule has been made necessary by tho increased inter est manifested each succeeding year in this important proceeding of Council.
