Tho School Board had estimated that tho replacing of the Whito street building with a new one would cost about $10,000. . It was thought that tho School Board would fi'l tho vacancies in tho corps of teachers last night and elect janitors for tho next torm and as they did not do so thero was somo disappointment. Some of the janitors are anxious about the matter. as thoy foar tho delay Is -an indication that there will be changes. Whether or not thero are grounds for such fears is not known as the directors have not niven any intimation of what they Intend doing. I V borne residents of Soutl West street were very much vexed a lew ruornlncs since.
