JOSEPH L. DAUGHERTY. A HUMAN I.IFE SAVEDI DOWAQIAC, Mlcb, March 11, 1866. JT. A. RHODES, Esq -. Dear Sir—As I took your mcdi?ine to sell on consignment, "no cure no P*y," 1 take pleasure in stating ita ef fects as reported to me by three brothers who live in this pla-g, and their testimony is a lair specimen of all I have received: W. S CoxELix tohl me—' I had taxen nine bottles of Christie's Aghcßalaam, and contin ually run down white using it O"' 1 ' "'J' and liver were Congested to ?ust degree that blood discharged from my month a'ud bowels, so tht si! thought it impossible icr mtf to me through another chill. The doctors too ,a ail they conld for me, but though I must die. Nothing did any good until 1 got Rhodes' be ver and and Ague Cure, which at once relit*- ed me of the distrets end natifea at my stom ach and pain in my bead and bowels, and pro duced a permanent cure in a short time." H. M. CONKLIN says: "I had been taking me dicine ot as good a doctor as we have in our county, and taken any quantity of quiDine and specifics without any good result, from 26 August to ITth December. Dot seeing how nicely it operated on my brother, I got a bot tl. of RHODES' FEVER AND AGUE CURE, which effected a permanent cure by using two thirds of a boitle." S. M. CONKLIN was not here, but both the other brothers say his case was the same as H. M's. Isold the medicine to both the same day , and the cute was as speedy from the same small quanti y, and I might so specify. Tours with respect. A. HUNTINGTON. The above speaks for itself. Good proof as it ia, it is of no better tenor than the vast! um ber of like certificates I have at ready publish ed, and the still greater amount that ia contin ually pouring in to me. One thing more. Last year I had occasion to Caution the Public in these words:— "1 notice one firm who have trikrn one of my gen eral circa/are, substituted the name of their nos trum for my medict ne, and then with brazen impu dence end their pamphlet with the exclamation, •Le: the proprietor of any other medtcine scy us much if he dares,' " tic. Now I take pleasure in laying that the Cau tion referred to the same l< Dr. Christie's Ague Balsam" that is mentioned in the above cer tificate. There are several other industi ions people who ft'e applying to their poisonous trasb all that I publish about my Fever end Ague Cure, or Antidote to Malaria, except the certificates of Cures, and the Certificate of the celebrated Chemist, Dr. James. R. Chilton of N. 1., iu favor of its perfectly HARMLESS CHARAC TER, which is attached to every bottle. These will always serve to distinguish my medicine from imitations. JAS. A. RHODES, Proprietor. Thankful lor past fibers, be hopes to merit and receive a liberal abate of the patronage of a generous public. Bedford, June 6, 18M Tonics won't Do! Tet never did do more than give temporary relief and they never will. It is because they don't touch the CAUSE of the disease. The CAUSE of all ague and billioua diseases is the atmospheric poison called Miasma or Malaria. Neutralise tbia poison by its NATURAL AN TIDOTE, and all disease caused by it disap pears at once. Rhodes' Fever and Ague Cure is tbia ADtldote to Malaria, and moreover it is a perfectly harmless medicine. The certificate of the celebrated chemist, J. R. Chilton, #f New York, to this effect, is attached to every bottle; therefore if it does no good it can do no harm. Tbia is more than can ba said of Quinine, Arsenic, or any tonic in existence, aa their nae la ruinous to th constitution and brings on DUMB AGUE, which never allows a person to feel perfectly well for a tingle moment. In il lustration of these truths 1 annex some extracts from a letter just received from a Physician: GEORGETOWN, OHIO, March, 17, 1866. J AS. A. RHODES Esq.—Dear Sir: Yonra of 2dinat last hand. The Cure arrived late last year and the difficulty in getting any one to try it waa greatly increased from the lact that a remedy had been introduced which waa grow ing in favor with the public, aa Doing better than using Quinine,—not knowing I presume that the remedy they nae Jed t) escape taking Quin ine, contained the DRUO ITSELF! This remedy, (known aa "Smith's Tonic,") would invariably BREAK an ague, but it dia not CURE it, aa it would often return W;tb re. newed vigor. This one chcumstanoe I deemed in your favor, if I could inatitute a teat com parison between it and yonr CURE. The fol lowing is the reanlt: Three pcraona look year "Care," all cf which were cases ol "Quotidian Intermittent Fever," of many weeks atanding. They had tried Qui nine, and other remedies, occasionally milling a chill, but it was, (aa in all such cases,) slowly wearing them ont, and laying the foundation of other and aeverer maladies. I did succeed in effecting a radical em e of all three of these cases with yonr remedy, and they have not had a chill since. In all three of these cases the "Smith's Tonic" bad been used, atd would, as before stated, break the chill, but after a period or two had elapsed it Won Id return. I think there will be no difficulty now In giv ing to yonr Cure the vantage ground of any other remedy now In nae here, etc., etc. WM. BUCKNEB, M. D. Rhodes' Fever and Agne Cere, or Antidote to Malaria, the only harmless remedy in exist ence, is eqrully certain as a preventive, aa a Cure. Take it when yon feel the chills coming en, and yon will never have a single one. JAMES A. RHODES, proprietor. Pro. vidence, R. I For sale by Drnggiats generally. ILiTS.
