DOWAGIACJ Mich, March 11, 1856. ; J. A. RHODES, Esq % Dear Sir—As I took i your medicine to sell on consignment, "no I core no pay," 1 take pleasure in stating its c - fects as reported to me by three brothers who ; live in this place, and their testimony is a fair specimen of all I have received: W. S. Conkiin told me—"l had taken nine bottles of Christie's Ague Balsam, and contin ually ran down while using it until my lungs and iiver were Congested to that degree that blood discharged from my mouth and bowels, so that all thought it impossible for me to live through another chill. Tint doctors too did all they could tea me, but though I must die. Nothing did any good Until 1 got Plunks' Fe ver and and Agile Cure, which at once reliev ed me of the distress and nausea at my stom ach and pain in my head and bowels, and pro i dtioed a jiermaneut cure in a short time.'' 11. M. COKKUN says: "1 had been taking mc ! dicine oi us good a dix tor as we have in our I county, and taken any quantity of quinine j and specifies without any coqfi, result, from |25 August to 11th December. But seeing how t nicely it operated on my brother, 1 got a bot ! tkof RHODES' FEVEIi AND AGUE CURE, I which efl'ected a permanent cure by using two i thirds of a bottle." S. M. COSKHS was not here, but both the other brothers say bis case was the same as H. M's. Isold the medicine to both the same day, and the cure was as speedy from the same small quanti y, and I might so specify. Yours with respect. A. HUNTINGTON. The above speaks for itself. Good proof as it is, it is of co better tenor than tlie vast' um ber of like certificates 1 have already publish ed, and the still greater amount that is contin ually pouring in to me. One thing more. Last year I had occasion to Caution the Public in these words:— "I notice one firm who .'tare taken one of my gen eral circular*, snbx'i.uted the name of their nos trum for my medicine, and then with trasen impen dence end their pam/ hlet with the exclamation, l l.ei the propi ie/vr of any other medicine say js inurh if he dares,' " tic. Now I take pleasure in saying that the Cau tion referred to the same '-Or. Chiistie's Ague Balsam" that is mentioned in the above cer tificate. There art: several other iiuhtstt ions people who a-e applying to their poisonous trash all that 1 publish about my Fever i lid Ague Cure, or Antidote to Malaria, except the certificates of Corps, and the Certificate of the celebrated Chemist, lit. James. R. Chilton of N. V., in favor of its perfectly HARMLESS CHARAC TER, which is attached to every bottle. These will always serve, to distinguish my medicine from imitation*. JAS. A. Tit IT never did do more thin give temporary relief and they never will. It is because they don't touch the CAUSE of the disease. The CAUSE .of all ague and billions dire-uses is the atmospheric poison called Miasma or Malaria. Neutralize this poison by its NATURAL AN TIDOTE, and all disease caused by it disap pears at once. Rhodes' Fever and Ague Cure is this Antidote to Malaria, and moreover it is a perfectly harmless medicine. The certificate of the celebrated chemist, J. R. Chilton, of New Vork, to this effect, is attached to every bottle-; therefore if it docs co good it can do no harm. This is more than can It- said of Qui) ine. Arsenic, or any tome in existence, as their use is ruinous to the constitution and brings on DUMB AGUE, which never allows a person to feel perfectly well for a single moment, in il lustration of these truths 1 annex some extracts from a letter just received from a Phrskixs; GEORGETOWN, OHIO, March, 17, 1856. J VS. A. RHODES Esq.—Dear Sir: Yours oj 2d inst is at hand. The Cure arrived lite last year and the difficulty in getting any one to try it was greatly increased from the fact that a remedy had been introduced which was grow ing in favor with the public, as beiug better than using Quinine,—not knowing I presume that the remedy they useded ti escape taking Quin ine, contained the DRUG ITSELF: This remedy, (known as "Smith's Tonic/') would Invariably BREAK an ague, hut it did , not CUKE it, as it would tfteu return with re. pewtd vigor. This one cheuinstance I deemed J in your favor, it ] could inalitue a test com parison Itelwecn it and your CURE. The td lowing i* the result: Three persons look yrur "Cure," all of which irerv cases of '-Quotidian Intermittent Fever/' of many weeks standing. They had tried Qui nine, aud ot her remedies, occasionally missing a chill, but it was. (as in alt such cases,) slowly wearing them out, and laying the foundation of other and severer maladies. 1 did succeed in effecting a radical cuie of all thtee of these cases with your remedy, and they have not had a chili since. In nil threeof these cases the ••Smith's Tonic" had been Used, ar.d would, as liefnre stated, hreak the chill, but after a peiiod ot two had elapsed it would return. 1 think there will he uo difficulty now in giv ing to your Cure the. vantage ground of any other remedv now in use here, etc.. etc. Wilt.
