Livengood, the editor’s brother, who had been visiting here for more than a week, took his departure on Tuesday evening last. The editor ac- companied him as far as Cumberland, Md., where he spent a pleasant even- ing at one of the hotels, with W. 8, and Alex, Livengood, the latter a well- known commercial salesman of Ever- son, Pa., but formerly of Salisbury. W. 8. made short visits to several Cumberland triends, then went to Elkins, W. Va, to pay a short visit to his friends and cousins, the Keim brothers. He will leave there for Roan- oke, Va.. tomorrow, where he will likely have an engagement with one of the Roanoke daily papers during the next few months. Death of County Coroner. Dr. C. L. Friedline, our County Coroner, died of gastritis, last Monday morning, at his home in Stoystown. He was aged 28 years. : Notiee to Teachers. Frank Wagner, late proprietor of the Hay hotel, cr Hotel Wagner, as it was called under his management, has shipped his household effects to Akron, Ohio, where he and his sons have se- cured employment in a rubber factory. Mr, Wagner failed in business here, and last Monday he was sold out by the Sheriff. Some of his creditors are heavy losers. Somerset Doctor Arrested on Seri- ous Charge. A sensation was sprung at Somerzet, last Thursday, when Dr. A. O. Barclay, a well-known physician, was arrested on a charge of malpractice preferred against him by John 8. Shafer. Dr. Barclay promptly furnished bail in the sum of $2,000, his father, S. P.
