WHEREAS, The Honorable Franois J. OO0Ser, President Judge of the Sixteenth Judicial district has ordered that a special or adjourned Court of Common Pleas, of Quatier Sessions and Orphans, Court, for e trial of cases herein, shall be held at Depas Pa, on Monday, January 16, 1905, And another special or adjourned court on Monday, February 6, 1905, commencing at 10 o’clock A. M. of said day. therefore, I, Andrew J. Coleman, High T Sherif of Somerset county, hereby i8- sue my proclamation giving notice to all jurors and witnesses summoned, and to all parties ix causes to be then and there tried, to be in attendance at said Cours. ANDREW J. COLEMAN, Sheriff. On Monday S. A. Kimmel again start- ed for the gold fields of the west. He came here several weeks ago from Roosevelt, a new mining town at Thunder Mountain, Idaho, where he has a mining elaim that promises rieh returns. Sam, was glad to get baek here to visit the many old friei.ds once more, and his many friends were just as glad to see him. But it was soon apparent that he was not contented here, and he did not hesitate to say that he could not bear the idea of ever loeating here again, no matter what in- ducements might be offered. He thinks the far west, or more particularly the great Northwest, is the place for healthy and industrious young men, and we think he is right. He was in that country for nearly six years, and he said he had no trouble in securing work at good wages wherever he went, while good opportunities for profitable investment could be seen lying around nearly everywhere. He will remain in Pittsburg a few days, where he will be joined by our genial friend Ed. Reitz, who will go to the gold fields at Ton- opah, Nevada, with him. Sam.and Ed. will make a strong team, and it is their intention to remain beyond the Rockies and grow up with that great and promising section of country. Their many friends here all wish them suceess, for they are made of the kind of material that will achieve suecess almost anywhere. A CERTAIN CURE FOR CROUP. When a child shows symptoms of croup there is no time to experiment with new remedies, no matter how highly they may be recommended. There is one preparation that ean al- ways be depended upon. It has been in use for many years and has never been known to fail, viz: Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy. Mr. M. F. Compton, of Market, Texas, says of it, “I have used Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy in severe cases of eroup with my children. and can truthfully say it always gives prompt relief” For sale by E. S. Egleston of Maple Landing. Iowa. “Knees and joints aching, muscles sore, head stopped up, eyes and nose running, with alternate spells of chills and fever. We began using Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy, aiding the same with a dose of Cham- berlain’s Stomach and Liver Tablets, and by its liberal use soon completely knocked cut the grip.” These Tablets promote a healthy action of the bowels, liver and kidneys which is always ben- eficial when the system is congested by a cold or attack of the grip.
