Martz is running his grist mill in full blast. The Kennell's Mills school closed on Wednesday, April 18th, under the suspie- es of Miss C. C. Rhoads. from Somerset. On the evening of the closing day a grand entertainment was given by the school, At 7:80 the house was filled to its utmost capacity. The program was an excellent ane and was rendered nobly by all who participated. After the program was dis- posed of, several able addresses were made by directors and citizens. Martz, Constable of this township, has met with quite a serious accident by cutting his hand with an ax, several days ago. Mr. Jacob D. Leydig has just returned from his extensive trip through the west. He saves he enjoyed his trip very much. The Mountain schon! closed on Friday, April 8th, under the instruction of Miss Lydia Meager, of Salisbury. The term was a successful one and the school has improved very much since it opened. On the last day gnite a number of the citizens and visitors were present and enjoyed the school very much, and a very able address was delivered by one of the directors, highly in favor of the teacher and school.
