A correspondent at AsliTille writes us a ! short account of the great flic at Frugality ; on Sunday morning its follows : A disas trous tire occurred at Frugality on tiie Crcs'on & ( oulport railroad early on Sun day intuiting last. It was tirst discovered at about 8 o'clock in the morning. The store wits in a full blaze when discovered. The lire is supposed to have originated from the furnaces in the basement. A family living in tne second story escaped from the windows, sonic of them only partly dressed. The tire crossed the street, which is about forty feet wide, und burned down the large hotel in twenty live minutes. Nothing was saved from either building. The guests at the hotel lost everything. The buildings were owned by the < oal & Coke Company which operates the mines at that place. The store goods were owned by individ als. The loss on the biddings is several thousands of dollars, partly insured. The loss on the contents of the buidings is not known. Ileuih of l>ter Ott. Last week we announced the serious iiltteis of Mr. Peter Ott in consequence of a fall from a load of bar. lie was dan gerous from the firs', but it was uot until Monday evening that he became so bad that his friends began to lose hope for his recovery. His death took place on Tucs day night at his home in Paint township, Somerset county. Mr. Ott is survived by his wife and a family of seven children, .including Daniel, David, and Noah, of this ci'y. Tliey with their father liuve been running a planing mill in the Sev enth ward for mnnv year?. They are also contractors. The funeral will take place this afternoon. The deceased was a mem ber of the English Lutheran Evangelical Church at Scalp Level.
