SALISBURY.
‘What was considered by the spec-
tators as the best basket ball game of
the season here was played on the
lccal floor on Saturday evening be-
tween the Varsity Club of Salisbury
and a Y. M. C. A. team of Cumber-
land. The fame stood a tie in the
first half the score being 17 to 17 and
our boys led in the beginning of the
last half, but in the wind up the
score was 42 to 32 in favor of the vis-
itors. The Cumberland club is c¢om-
posed of a nice bunch of fellows and
the game proceeded without the us-
ual amount -of wrangling. The visi-
#ors stayed at Salisbury over night,
attending the dance which was held
in Mays Hall directly after the ball
game.
