July 16, 1R62. —vln49lv The Secretary of the Treasury has not yet giv en notice of any ihtention to withdraw this popular Loan from Sale at Par, and until ten days notice is given, the undersigned, as "General Subscript ! tion Agent," will continue; to supply the public j The whole amount of the Loan authorized is Five Hundred Millions of Dollars Xeai ly Vour IIui!- | drcd Millions have been already subscribed lor and paid into the TRLASVKY, mostly within the last seven months. The large demand from abroad, and tho rapidly increasing home de mand for useprs the basis for circulation by Nation al Backing Associations now o'ganizing in all parts of the eountry, will in a i cry short period, absorb the balance. Sales k. ivc lately ranged from ten to fifteen million! weekly, Irequently exceeding three millions daily, and it is well known that the Secretary of tho Treasury has ample and unf liiiug resources in the Du ties on Imports rnd Internal Revenues' and in the issue of the Interest bearing Legal Tender Treasury notes, it is almost a certainty that ho will mt find it necessary, lor a long time to come, to seek a market for any other long or permanent Loans, THE IN TEREST AND PRINCIPAL OF WHICH ARE PAYABLE IN GOLD. Prudence and self interest must force the minds if those contemplating the formation of national Bank ing Associations, as well as the minis of all who have idle money in their hands, to the prompt con clusion th it they should loose no time in subscribing to thft most popular ,'oan- It will soon be beyond their reach, and advance to a handsome premium, as was the result with the " Seven Thirty" Loan, when it was all sold and could no longer be subscribed for a If ar is A SIX PER CENT LOAN, the interest ar.d Principal PABYALE IN COIN, thus yielding NINE PER CENT. PREMIUM, at tbo present rate of premium on coin. The Government requires all duties on imports to be paid in Coin; these duties have for a long time past, amounted to over a Quarter of a Million of dol lars daily, a suin nearly three times greater than tat required in the payment of the interest on all the 5-20's and other permanent Loan#. So that it is hoped that the surplus Coin in the Tf*agury, at no distant day, will enable the United States to resume specie payments upon all liabilities. The Loan is called 5-20 from the fact that whilst the Funds may run for 20 years, yetthe Government has a right to pay them off in Gold at par, at any time after five years. V". The Interest is paid half-yearly, viz: on first days of November-and May. Subscribers can have Coupon Bonds, which are pay able tc bearer, and are SSO, SSOO, and $1(00; or Registered Bonds of same denominations, and in ad diton ,$5,000 and SIO,OOO. For Banking purposes and for investments of Trust-moneys the Registered Bonds are prefferablo. These 5-20's cannot be taxed by States cities, towns or counties, and the Government tax on them is only one-and-a-half per cent,, on the amount of in- | come, when the inc .mo of tho holder exceeds Six Hundred dollars per annum ; all other investments, such as income from Mortgages, Railroad Stock and Bonds, etc., must pay from throe to five per cent, tax on the income. Banks and Bankers throughout tbo Country will continue to dispose of the Bonds ; and all orders by mail or otherwise, promptly attended to. The' inconvenience of a few days' delay in the de- ' liveiy of the Bonds Is unavoidable, the demand being 1 so great; but as interest commences from tbo day of 1 subscription, no loss '• occasioned, and every effort ' is being made to diminish the delay. " Our only child, about three years of age, was at tacked by pimples on bis forehead They rapidly spread until they formed a loathsome and virulent 6ore, which covered his face, and actually blinded his eyes lor some days. A skilful physician applied nitrate of silver and other remedies, without any ap {>arent effect. For fifteen days we guarded his hand*, est with them he should tear open the festering ana corrupt wound which covered his whole face. Hav ing tried every thing else we had any hope from, we began giving your SARBAPARILLA, and applying the iodide of potash lotion, as you direct. The sore to heal when we had given the first bottle, and was well when we had finished the second. The child's eyelashes, which had come out, grew again, and lie is now as healthy and fair as any other. The whole neighborhood predicted that the child miut die." Syphilis and Mercurial Dieease.
